Congratulations to BBR Construction Systems Malaysia for producing the winning article in the BBR °ä°¿±·±·Ã†°ä°Õ Best Article Award 2019. In their feature ‘Building a bridge to a new future’, they describe not only the massively detailed technical challenges of the KVMRT2 metro rail scheme in Kuala Lumpur, but they also emphasize the teamwork that is making the project a success. The article can be found on Page 30 of °ä°¿±·±·Ã†°ä°Õ 2019. Neighboring ÂÜÀòÍø Network Member BBR Construction Systems Singapore was declared Runner Up for their article about the mixed use Wisteria Condominium and Mall development, entitled ‘Innovative construction combination’ (see Page 36). The article sets the project in its local context very well and gives an outline of how prefinished prefabricated modules and post-tensioning were combined to deliver technical excellence and productivity benefits. Meanwhile, French ÂÜÀòÍø Network Member ETIC was Highly Commended for their article ‘Widening the motorway’ on Page 68 of °ä°¿±·±·Ã†°ä°Õ. This is a technical report about their project to strengthen two viaducts, using external BBR VT CONA CMB band post-tensioning, on the A9 Motorway in the South of France.
